We all need water to live….it’s essential. Water helps clean and flush all the toxins out of the body. Your body is actually made up of mostly water. We exhale approximately a pint of water each day through our lungs, so it’s very important to replenish all the water we lose. Too little water equals dehydration.

It’s especially important to increase your water intake when you stop smoking. 10 - 8oz glasses of water spaced throughout the day is recommended, but more may be necessary if you live in a hot climate or perspire a lot. Water is also a diversion from smoking. Cravings for cigarettes can often be tamed by drinking a glass of water.

Learn to enjoy a nice cool glass of water. It’s very refreshing, it’s very healthy and it will be an essential part of your quest to stop smoking!
