Core Inner Strength Update

Hello readers! Hope you’re having a great day! As I had mentioned in a previous post, I’ve been listening to a self hypnosis audio program entitled, “Core Inner Strength” by Dr. Shirley McNeal, Ph.D and I wanted to provide an update with some thoughts.

First off, I’m always impressed by the quality of these CD’s. There is nothing “cheap and cheesy” about them. They’re not recorded in someone’s office with a tape recorder sitting on their desk. The sound quality is excellent.

The program is a two CD set and I’ve tried to listen to both CD’s every day, (although thats not a requirement. Normally, you’re instructed to listen to one session per day). They’re not very long, but are quite thorough. I always feel like I’ve had a good session when I can go from the initial “induction stage” to the part where I’m being instructed to come back to full awareness, without fully remembering much of what happened in between! I always pay attention to my clock and many times when the session is over I think, “something must have screwed up on the CD because I just got started”, then I look at the clock and realize it’s 25 minutes later and I realize it was no mistake! Thats good stuff!

While I have more to do, (I use every program for at least a month), I can say that I’m seeing some noticeable improvements. It’s hard to explain the feeling, but there is a sense that I’m more in control of situations and conversations? When I get into heated conversations, (which I try to avoid :) ) I’ve always noticed “extreme” stress after the fact. “Teeth clinched and hands shaking” kind of stress.

I had a phone conversation with a credit card company just yesterday over a disputed charge, (thats another story!), that should have caused the same type of reaction, but I have to say that I handled the situation well. I felt confident and in control at all times, and ultimately came to an agreeable solution with the representative. Afterwards, I was a bit shocked but quite proud of the fact that I felt very calm!

Self hypnosis is like that. There is no red flag that pops up and tells you the hypnosis is working. You usually just begin to notice positive changes in your life as a result of the sessions. If you’re quitting smoking, you realize, “hey….it’s been 4 hours and I haven’t wanted a cigarette?!?!”

All in all, I have to say that I’m quite satisfied with how things are going! I know that my life will be improved as a result of listening to these CD’s. When I finish up, I’ll report again and tell you what’s next on my agenda.

Thanks and have a super day!

How effective are hypnosis CDs? Like how do they work thru behavior change? Nice article, though!
