If you’ve browsed around this blog, you know that I admit to being a bit “partial” when it comes to the self hypnosis audio programs that I recommend. I’ve always been very impressed with the quality products that Hypnosis Network produces. This company looked across the internet and saw “everybody and their brother” making hypnosis CD’s & tapes, (some good and some not so good!), so they decided to take a different approach. They searched and found licensed therapists who were trained in various fields of hypnosis. These therapists along with the folks at Hypnosis Network, then created specialized audio programs designed to help each of us reach our full potential in a wide range of areas. But to be honest, there are other important areas where self hypnosis can be extremely effective, and Hypnosis Network has yet to produce a program for several of these.
In the past I’ve shied away from doing actual reviews & comparisons of different self hypnosis audio. Primarily because this can be a very time consuming task, not to mention the fact that it can be expensive to go out and purchase a copy of various audio programs from some of the better known hypnotists & hypnotherapists. But I’ve come to the conclusion that reviews and comparisons of hypnosis products would be beneficial to many readers. And quite frankly, this site was intended to be a resource for those people who are searching for information about self hypnosis, so it’s only fair that I add my thoughts & opinions on different audio programs to help you make informed decisions.
So my first order of business will be deciding on an issue to cover, researching to see who is in the top 3 or 4 for this field, then purchasing these programs for testing. At that point, I’ll listen to the programs, take notes and present my findings to you. My goal is to provide an unbiased comparison, based on various criteria. I’ll certainly be reporting on the overall quality…
- How well is the tape or CD done?
- Does it sound like it was recorded in an actual studio or in someone’s kitchen?
Also the quality of material that is being delivered.
- Is it unique?
- Is it comprehensive?
- Is it effective?
- How long is the program? (Longer is not always better!
)
And I’ll certainly be looking at price and guarantees.

I’m going to shoot for one review/comparison per month. I may increase that if I have time, but one per month is the goal I’m initially trying to achieve.

Definitely will be looking forward to read how you pen out these reviews on audio…
As one confused and unknowing hombre on the field of hypnosis (esp. self hypnosis) I will be looking for any guide I can find to end up with the better programs.
I’ve been advised that self hypnosis will aid me in obtaining my life goals, (loss of weight, self confidence,control of pain from severe injury to name a few)

I have actually read your post on “Manage Stress And Anxiety” before I arrive here so I have to comment that you did good on your review. Looking forward to more reviews on hypnosis.
I prefer yelling… But maybe I could try this to calm me down… But I really like yelling.
I’m a bit afraid of hypnosis. I always feel that when I’m under hypnosis, someone would try to manipulate me.

Good review, have you by chance had a chance to go through Banyan’s 7th path self hypnosis?
I must admit I was skeptical until I used it. It was great for moving things I hadnt considered.
