I’ve never experienced “chronic pain” thank goodness, but I know friends who have. It’s hard for me to imagine what it would be like to always have to deal with pain or to have to take medicines constantly to alleviate pain? I can certainly sympathize.
Not having ever experienced chronic pain, I can’t confess to ever having tried self hypnosis for pain? I have read many articles about the remarkable results that can be attained through hypnosis though. The following are a few I’ve run across:
So it’s easy to see that the use of hypnosis for the relief of pain is clearly useful and something I wouldn’t look over if pain was a part of my everyday life.

I can’t say it was self-hypnosis that I did but it sure was mental.
I’ve had chronic lower back pain for nearly 30 years. As it turns out the structural pain is due to a injury in 7th grade to the SI joint, but most of the pain I would have was due to my mind.
It was funny how it would act up when I was doing something I didn’t want to do. Well, one day I said, NO! I’m not going to do it and the instant I said that I literally felt the pain “pull” out of my lower back.
sure, I still have some structural pain from time to time but very little pain other than that and that pain is almost always due to being in certain positions too long.
