Self Hypnosis & Weight Loss

Controlling your weight is such a problem for so many of us these days. Many folks find a way to blame it on everyone and everything…..but themselves. McDonalds & Burger King can’t make me fat if I don’t go there to eat, right?
Weight control and weight loss has to start with each of us. I know full well that I could stand to lose 15 or 20 pounds. While I think it gets a little more difficult to lose that weight as we get older, I think that we have to try a little harder and be more persistent in achieving those goals.
The best way to lose weight is the old fashioned way….eat the right foods, eat less of them and exercise. Easier said than done, right? It’s really not “that” difficult to do those things, but we tend to make it seem next to impossible. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day happenings in life, that we overlook the fact that we have to take care of the engine that allows us to function…our mind and body.
“I hate preparing and eating vegetables when I know I can drop by KFC on the way home and grab something quick to eat!”
“I’ve got way too much going on at work to take time out to exercise”
“A big juicy burger or a slice of pizza sure sounds better than an apple!”
Sound familiar? It’s so easy to talk ourselves out of doing the right things to take care of our bodies. So how does hypnosis or self hypnosis fit in here? As I’ve mentioned before in other posts, hypnosis isn’t a magic bullet. You can’t listen to a hypnosis CD once and expect to wake up the next morning 20 pounds lighter. Thats not going to happen. If you’re sick and tired of how you look and feel now, you “can” make “very” positive changes in your life and health by utilizing hypnosis or self hypnosis.
Hypnosis is the tool that will give you that extra push to take 30 minutes out of your lunch hour to take a walk instead of working through it or heading out to a fast food joint. Hypnosis is the tool that will help you to start “enjoying” those fruits & vegetables more and realizing how good they are for your body & mind. Hypnosis is the tool that will help you start enjoying exercise more because you’ll know the good it’s doing for your body. (Imagine actually being excited about exercise!) And hypnosis is the tool that will give you more self confidence and more self esteem. You’ll be more positive about who you are and where you want to go in life. This is the true power of hypnosis and how it helps you lose weight! It’s not magic and weight loss doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen. It’s a great feeling when you start seeing the positive results!
So when you’re ready to take control of your weight and do positive things for your mind and body, I encourage you to see if hypnosis is right for you. Remember….no one can force you to lose weight with hypnosis. When people are happy with who they are and there’s no motivation to change, then there isn’t going to be any change….plain and simple. If someone tells you that you’re fat and you need to lose some weight, something in your brain says, “to heck with them!!!” “Who are they to talk to me like that?!?!” “I’ll lose weight when I’m good and ready!” When someone pushes us, we tend to fight back and become more stubborn & set in our ways. That’s why I “always” tell people that they have to be ready for change before hypnosis is going to do much for them.
Hope you have a great day!
